My parents leave tomorrow for four weeks. They are going to Trinidad & Tobago (to visit my brother, who works there with AECOM), and then on to Brazil. Needless to say, this has thrown my wanderlust into overdrive.
Also, thanks to watching Lisbon Story (a fairly good, but not great, film by Wim Wenders), I've been dealing with an almost overwhelming desire to travel to Portugal again. I want to see more of Lisboa. More of Braga. I want to be in a country where I can walk into any café and get good coffee and a pastel de nata.
Some days, I am truly sorry that I ever started travelling. The ache to be somehwere else, experiencing another place, is often overwhelming.
I better stop writing before I start to cry.
The travel bug is a persistent (sometimes cruel) little bugger, isn't it?!
You should come visit Melbourne. I can't say I've heard of/seen pastel de nata before, but we do have a lot of great coffee places.
Oh, and here's hoping your parents have a great trip.

But it's still best to have traveled than not to know this feeling... I've only traveled in Brazil and believe me I get that feeling most of the time.
I hope you can travel really soon.
